Drive farther than you have to just to finish a song or guitar solo? After a long week and a hard evening, I damn well did when I picked up dinner.
I don’t care what you think about Pearl Jam, the solo at the end of “Alive” kicks ass. It kicked ass when I was 11 and my cousin in the Marines sent me a tape of Ten between tours in the Gulf, and it kicks ass now.

I’m pretty sure it’s a sin to stop this song before it’s over.

To prove that, I just listened to the whole damn thing. Haven’t heard that in awhile, good choice.

Epic guitar solo, followed by epic bass mini solo, then epic drum mini solo.

I still have that record, unopened since I bought it new in ‘91

The LP? Damn, cool! I still have my original tape. Hope you have another copy to listen to.

Epic record, epic band. Saw them again the last Euro tour they did, great gig.
And yes: I recognize this behaviour. I even try planning trips around albums. Or should I say I plan albums accordingly? From Breda to Apeldoorn is a War of the Worlds’ drive.

yup the LP. It was the only copy I bought, and I don’t have a record player anymore anyway. Last I looked on ebay it was worth about $40 lol

Nice, I’d love to see them live!
There’s a brewery that’s about a Dark Side Of The Moon away, and Laguna Seca is close to Songs In The Key Of Life away if I’m on it ;). Never planned trips that way though.

Is both heading up there and returning to the brewery a Dark Side of the Moon or is getting home more of a The Wall ?

Well, another brewery is a both ways for Dark Side, the first is one way. I guess that’d make it both sides of The Wall for the round trip to do one album for that one.
